Textbooks written by James Stewart, a math genius, don’t need a special introduction or some detailed review. Everyone already knows that his math books are detailed, comprehensive and filled with exercises and examples.
About Stewart Precalculus Textbook
This Precalculus book is pretty well organized which makes it an easy study companion. The text is divided into 13 chapters. But, every chapter has been split into sections which makes the text and examples more understandable.
The biggest change occurs in Exercises. As the preface said, and we checked, more than 20% of exercises are new. There are also some new subsections in Fundamentals, Functions, Polynomial and Rational Functions, Exponential and Logarithmic Functions, Trigonometric Functions, and Systems of Equations and Inequalities.
In this seventh edition of precalculus there are still lots of materials that have been “transferred” from the 6th edition. But, the new and updated content makes it more engaging and more valuable as a study material.
